Aggie Notes / Texas A&M v. KU Preview

** K-State Recap **

Please see HILDY'S K-State recap and thoughts from KC.

Something to think about - Do we want to keep winning now that we are a lock? --- I think we do but an argument can be made that we don't. The more we win at this point, the closer we are to receiving an 8 or 9 seed which would put us against a #1 seed in the second round, assuming we win our first round game. I would love to see us as a 10 seed.

What are your thoughts on this?

** LADY AG'S IN CHAMPIONSIHP **

The Lady Ag's play Oklahoma State tonight at 6:00, and the game is televised on Fox Sports Net. This is the first time the Lady Ag's have ever made it to the Big 12 championship game and I really hope they continue their torrid pace. Who would have thought the Lady Ag's would be in this position after a 1-4 conference start.

** AGGIE SOFTBALL NEWS **

In what may be the best team on campus, the Aggie softball team posted two great wins Friday at the San Diego Classic, and the Ag's take on Cal State-Fullerton and San Diego State later today. Good luck to them.

** AGGIE BASEBALL NEWS **

Please check out the great diary posted by Coach Dale which we bumped to the main page. (Click here for the full story on Aggie Baseball)

The Ag's play Tech tonight, and for another good Aggie Blog, please check out Texas A&M and Baseball

TALKING POINTS:

  • What's at stake?-A win for A&M likely propels them to a 9 seed or better in my opinion. A win for KU pushes them closer to their 3rd consecutive BIG 12 tournament championship, and perhaps more importantly, a win for KU pushes them closer to a possible #1 seed.
  • Key for A&M - Play with the same fire and intensity as yesterday. Josh Carter and D Kirk must score for us to have a chance. Last game, KU killed us inside - Darrell Arthur was unbelievable and I think we need to double him today. We also cannot have horrible spurts where we give up 6 points in 20 seconds.
  • Key for KU - play their game. The crowd will be 95% KU - 5% A&M so KU will look to jump on us quick, if they do this, it could be a blowout.
