Nothin' wrong with throwbacks
I agree with your assessment that McGee could be a possible pitfall. Perhaps there were a few other issues at hand against Tech in '06. (I think you could make a fine point that it was entirely/entirely not McGee's fault. I'm simply not so quick to base everything on a QBs performance. Unless you count the Rose Bowl in '05 and '06, haha) If McGee can keep from making any sort of blasphemous errors, nobody will be paying attention to him at all. They will be much too busy checking out the ruts your lines will be stomping into the ground.
So I also agree with the underrated. As a Texas fan, I'm quite worried about A&M this year. And my own may crucify me, but I think that perhaps last year was a good year to lose to A&M if there is such a thing (Note: there isn't.) If we'd have won, I think we'd have marched in with big heads (which typically hasn't worked out for us so well. Cross my fingers we take TCU seriously....)
New unis look alright for not being burnt orange. ;) I like the stripes - because it looks awesome when there is long run down the sidelines. I'm not giving up on Aggies, they are Texans after all. Hook 'em. |
