Keys To Victory
- Ball Control - it's just a fancy way of saying "establish the run, pound them with the J-Train". It's cliche, but the best way to limit the Mizzou offense is to keep it off the field.
- Red Zone - If the Ags want a shot at winning this one, they need to keep the Tigers close. That means walking away with 7pts (no more damned missed FG attempts!) when in the red zone and keeping Mizzou to 3 or less when they get in the red zone. I don't care if Mizzou racks up 600yds of offense between the 20's (which is very, very likely) as long as the defense manages to limit explosives and their red zone production.
- Turnovers - The Ags can't afford to give the Tigers any gifts. Extra opportunities to score will doom the Ags. Instead, the Ags need to steal some opportunities of their own, forcing fumbles and grabbing some INTs.
- Balls - Fran & Co. need to reach down there, dig around for a bit, and find em. No more FGs on 4th&1 in the 3rd Qtr down by 21. I would rather see us going for it on 4th&23 on our own 5yd than another display as pathetic as last week in Norman. As far as the playbook is concerned, I say "Go, Go, Gadget Triple-Reverse-Option-Flea-Flicker-Annexation of Puerto Rico". If our guys are gonna go down, atleast go down in a blaze of gadgety glory that will live on in YouTube glory forever.
