Rice 9 Texas A&M 7

The Aggies came into game 1 at Reckling hoping to strike first on the Owls and they did just that. The Aggies plated runs in the first two innings. However, the Aggies were not able to hold the lead after started Brooks Raley was erratic all game. The Owls put up multiple runs several times.

Rice showed why they are one of the top teams in the country.

For the Aggies to win this series they are going to need an superb effort from Barrett Loux tomorrow night.

The Aggies showed they could play with these guys, they just need to take away the big inning from the Owls.

Bright spots:

Aggie bats looked good today.

Rice's closer threw multiple innings today and probably won't be available until Monday at the earliest.

Too Many Mistakes

Walks, HBP, errors, errant throws all lead to runs. Good teams that belong in Omaha, like Rice, don’t make mistakes. In game one, the Aggies made lots of mistakes. Hopefully we can get it turned around in game two or we will be 0-2 and BBQ
